In Individual Therapy we can deal with the personal issues that prevent you from feeling happy and keep you separate from others. Therapy may seem just like a series of conversations, but it can address your concerns and help you to change things you don’t like about your life.
Our work can be brief, targeting a specific concern that you want to address, or it can be longer-term work toward personal growth.
I may recommend that you read some material or do some writing between sessions, but only if you like to do those things.
I work with a wide range of different techniques that are effective for specific issues people face. We can discuss together what will be helpful for you as we move forward.
You will probably find as you go forward in therapy that you will start to think differently about things, then start to feel differently about them, and then begin to do things differently, or to make different choices. This is how the process of change works. Sometimes the shift is quite subtle, but it can make a big difference to your life.
